As well as new PowerShot models, Canon has launched two new Digital IXUS compact cameras.The Digital IXUS 980 IS is a 14.7-megapixel offering boasting a 3.7x optical image stabiliser lens.
Promising "there’s more to it than just good looks", the 980 IS comes with Canon’s new DIGIC 4 processor as well as an all-new Manual mode that claims to give great creative control.
The Digital IXUS 870 IS is a 10-megapixel model with a 4x wide-angle (28mm) optical image stabiliser lens and boasts a 3-inch LCD display.
Available in silver or gold, this models also boasts Canon’s new DIGIC 4 processor as well as Face Detection.
The IXUS 980 IS is available from late September priced at £349.99 / 459.99 euros while the IXUS 870 IS is available at the same time and will cost £269.99 / 349.99 euros. Cameras, Compact cameras, Digital cameras, Canon, 10 megapixels, 14 megapixels
