There isn't much time left before the nominations for the longest running, most independent, gadget awards in the UK are announced.

On Monday 13 October, we will be announcing the nominations for the Vodafone Pocket-lint awards letting you know the best gadgets available this year in our 11 award categories.

However your nominations have to be in by Friday 10 October to be considered.

The nominations will then be put in front of a panel of independent judges from national newspapers like The Times, The Sun, The Mirror, The Independent, as well as Pocket-lint's own competitors such as ShinyShiny and ElectricPig.

Rather than just let our team decide, this year, just like every year, we get the industry to help us decide so you know that what we say is the best gadget, really is.

Better still, the best thing about the Vodafone Pocket-lint awards is that the latest products being announced still have a chance to be included. The products must have been announced between December 2007 and December 2008 meaning you won't find any old gadgets in our nominations.

If you would like to nominate your favourite product then let us know via the comments below and we will take it into consideration.

The awards winners will be announced in full on Pocket-lint in November.
