Game developer Blizzard is to launch the second expansion pack - called The Wrath of the Lich King - on 13 November.

But what can gamers look forward to?

A new continent for skilled players called Northrend, as well as new professions and new enemies to fight including the "undead armies of the Lith king", and a new character class called the Death Knight.

The level cap has now been increased to 80, there are new player versus player battlefield, and Blizzard has designed a whole arsenal of new siege weapons.

Rumour has it that Blizzard is also going to update the WoW graphics engine, and a major patch is expected before the release of Wrath of the Lich King.

The second expansion pack is only available to gamers who bought the first pack, and is expected to cost around £24.99, or $39.99 in the US, through Amazon.

Gamers in the US, Europe, Mexico, Argentina, Chile will be able to buy the game on 13 November.

It will be released a day later in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand.

And it will then go on sale in Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau on 18 November.
