7digital.com has announced it is now 100% MP3. Following deals with all of the big four labels, 7digital is now providing digital music in high-quality (320kbps) DRM-free MP3 format.

The company says this marks the first time ever UK consumers will have access to a database of music in the MP3 format, which can be played across any music enabled device.

In celebration of this announcement 7digital.com is offering all users two entirely free MP3 albums.

The first features a sample of artists from EMI Music’s catalogue and the second is a selection of top acts from 7digital indiestore.

Other selected albums, including works by Queen, The Magic Numbers, We Are Scientists and Sigur Rós, will be priced at £2.

And, of interest to current customers - all Sony BMG music previously purchased from 7digital.com in the WMA format will be upgraded to high-quality 320kbps MP3s for free.
