Panasonic has announced a new addition to its range of HD ready LCDs, the 26-inch TX-26LXD80.

This new LCD features Panasonic's V-Real 3 picture technology and boasts a contrast ratio of 8000:1.

There's also an Advanced 3D Colour Management system that claims to offer a fine degree of control that sees the TX-26LXD80 adjusting multiple colours at the same time without affecting neighbouring colours.

The set also has V-Audio Sound, Viera Link hook-up and an SD card slot for photo slide shows and the like.

The TX-26LXD80 has an "Eco Mode" that uses a photo sensor to measure the ambient light conditions in the room and adjusts the panel brightness accordingly - helping to minimise power consumption.

Complete with integrated Freeview tuner and three HDMI ports, it will be available from September, no pricing revealed.
