WD launches 500GB My Passport portable USB drives

Western Digital has introduced its new 500GB capacity My Passport portable USB drives.

The new capacities means consumers can stick 'alf a terabyte of music, videos or photos in a drive that fits in the palm of their 'and.

Weighing in at less than 7 ounces and "designed to withstand the rigors of everyday use", the new 500GB My Passport drives are available in 11 colours.

The Elite versions get software that automatically backs-up consumers' computers and capacity gauges.

Pricing is £129.99 for the standard 500GB capacity models and £153.99 for the Elite versions.
