The Post Office is trying to play down rumours that is going to launch its very own mobile phone service.

But has also hinted at talks - so while the service may not be launching any time soon - it may still happen.

A spokesman from the Post Office has told Media Week that it is too early to say whether it would offer a mobile service but added: "It's something we are looking at but we're still very much in the planning stage".

In separate news, the Post Office has opted to reduce its broadband prices so that customers can now get broadband and phone packages from £19.95 a month.
