InFocus has brought out a budget projector to appeal to all of us a tad worried about all of these global slowdown mutterings. For £499, from October, you can now get your hands on the InFocus X9 720p DLP projector, which packs in Texas Instrument's BrilliantColor technology, offers a short throw ratio and HDMI 1.3 input.
Spec wise - the projector offers a 2500:1 contrast ratio and 1800 lumen brightness.
Its short throw ratio of 1.55 -1.7 Distance/Width enables pictures ranging from 0.69m to 9.13m (diagonal) from between
1m and 12m from a screen or wall.
And it is claimed to be ready to go straight out of the box, either projecting from a table top (which you can get set using the adjustable feet) or a ceiling mount.
The projector boasts automatic focus and also zoom rings.
Also worth a mention is the credit card sized remote, which allows you to adjust the digital zoom, keystone, movie, games and PC mode selection. Home Cinema, Projectors, InFocus
