The Queen to visit Google

HRH a "big fan" of the Internet

The Queen - who apparently owns an iPod and a BlackBerry - is to visit the UK headquarters of Google in mid-October.

Said to be a "big fan of the internet" her royal highness will meet YouTube staff who work on the Royal Channel, where her Christmas message was broadcast last year.

A Buckingham Palace spokesperson said: "During her reign, the Queen has always kept up to date with the latest technology. The visit to Google is another example and shows how willing she is to embrace new technology and change".

The Duke of Edinburgh will also be attending, so we can only hope for some utterly inappropriate comment to be reported. Suggestions in the comment box below...
