Another week and it seems another EA number 1 in the UK games charts. This week it was Fifa 06s turn to take the top spot pushing last weeks number 1, burnout Revenge into the second spot.

But EA failed to make it a 1,2,3 with titles from Ubisoft and Sega Eidos putting a stop to that. Ubi's Far Cry: Instincts took second place, while Sega's Rome: Total War - Barbarian Invasion took bronze. Eidos settled for fourth place with Conflict: Global Storm.

Other new entries this week included Midway's Mortal Combat, Nintendo's Advance Wars: Dual Strike and a re-entry for Midnight Club 3: Dub Edition and Virtua Tennis: World Tour.

Stalwarts of the chart Brian Lara International Cricket 2005 and Lego Star Wars managed to hang in for another week.
