Mobile music identifying service Shazam has announced that it has now been used by 20 million customers to identify music tracks across the world.

Shazam reports that users have identified over 100 million tracks, and with millions of tracks now being tagged every week, the company says the 200 million milestone will soon be achieved.

Andrew Fisher, Shazam’s CEO said: "Shazam is rapidly becoming a worldwide phenomenon and not a second goes by today without someone using Shazam to discover and share music experiences".

With current growth trends, Shazam projects it will be available on 250 million handsets by the end of 2009.
