Sony has announced new ranges of in-ear headphones for the UK market.The MDR-EX500LP and MDR-EX300SL in-ear headphones are described as "premium" closed-type in-ear headphones with the claim that they deliver studio quality audio.
These models offer a vertical in-ear design with new hybrid silicone ear buds and a multiple layer diaphragm that said to prevent resonance and distortion.
Both the MDR-EX500LP and the and MDR-EX300SL get newly-developed 13.5mm EX driver unit for what Sony says is truer sound with wide dynamic range and deep bass while the EX500LP is "hand-tuned" for "ultimate sound quality".
The MDR-EX33LP and MDR-EX35LP in-ear headphones are Sony's "fun and affordable" in-ear option with the EX33LP available in three colours.
These models offer extra-small ear buds, a 9mm EX driver unit for what Sony states is a wide dynamic range and deep bass and a cord adjuster and cord slider to prevent tangling.
The DR-BT160AS and DR-BT160IK are "Bluetooth Stereo wireless active stereo headphones" aimed at those with an active lifestyle.
Offering fingertip control of MP3 player functions, users can take wireless calls from Bluetooth phone thanks to the inbuilt microphone and there's a Bluetooth dongle option for iPods. Audio, Sony, Bluetooth, Phone accessories, Headphones
