Apple's chief financial officer, Peter Oppenheimer, has made some carefully worded comments about the company's future plans ahead of next week's big launch.
Apple has confirmed it will hold a special media event on 9 September, under the heading "Let's Rock" that's widely expected to be the launch of new iPods.
Oppenheimer, speaking at the Citigroup's 15th Annual Global Technology Conference, promised the assembled crowds "we're going to rock" at next week's event.
Regarding the iPhone, the CFO was optimistic about sales for the next quarter, stating, "we expect to sell more iPhones in the September quarter than in any prior quarter", leading to speculation that there might be an iTunes-related announcement that could affect the iPhone next week too.
