"Let's Rock"

Apple has confirmed to Pocket-lint details of the previously much rumoured event it will hold on Tuesday 9 September next week.

In an invite to us titled "Let's Rock", Apple outlines details for the "invite only" event, this time in The Business Design Centre in London rather than the usual BBC Television Centre.

Coming almost a year to the date of the last big iPod event under the tagline, "the beat goes on", Apple is expected to announce new iPods including a new version of the iPod nano at the 6pm event following rumour and speculation on the web.

The invite, which features the iPod play screen complete with album art and a five star rating, looks to back up the rumours first started by Digg founder Kevin Rose.

Pocket-lint will be reporting live from the event, so jot it in your calendars for next week. So, what will the company launch? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
