Commodore has joined the netbook market with the announcement of a new Via C7-M processor-sporting netbook at IFA in Berlin for those keen to rekindle the C64 days.The rather bland looking netbook, called the UMMD 8010/F will offer an 80GB hard drive, 1GB of RAM and the usual array of wireless connectivity in the form of 802.11b/g and Bluetooth, although the latter will be optional.
Opting to run the Via C7-M processor instead of Intel's Atom 1.6GHz offering taken up by many other manufacturers, the netbook will come with the choice of Microsoft XP or GNU Linux operating systems.
Coming with a 10-inch screen there is a 1.3 megapixel webcam and a digital array microphone to complete the disappointing stats.
Available in four colours; white, black, grey and sweet pink prices for the laptop start, considering its offering, at a staggering £325.
The UMMD 8010/F will be available later in the month a spokesperson told Pocket-lint.
