Revo Technologies has announced the launch of "Blok", its first dedicated product for iPods.Debuting at IFA, the company says that in a category "dominated by black and white plastic rivals" the wooden Blok, made of American walnut or black oak, will "redefine what can be expected" from an iPod dock.
Still on the build side of things, the switches, inlays and bezels are all made from aluminium while audio performance wise there's NXT’s patented "Balanced-Radiator" loudspeaker technology.
The speaker offers 40 watts, contains a Class D amplifier and comes with a "unique" remote control that's said to be ergonomically designed and offers full iPod control.
BLOK is compatible with all current iPod models and is supplied with a full range of dock adaptors. It will cost around £200 when it goes on sale in September direct from Revo and in John Lewis stores. Audio, Speakers, iPod speakers, Revo, IFA2008
