GEAR4 launches FM transmitters with "Follow Me" tech

IFA 2008: In car and dongle options

29 August 2008 11:48 GMT / By Amy-Mae Elliott

GEAR4 has launched two new versions of its FM transmitters at IFA, the AirZone FM Folllow Me and the CarDock FM Follow Me.

The AirZone FM Folllow Me is the iPod dongle variant that the company says discreetly plugs into the iPod to transmit its tunes to any radio tuned to the same frequency.

The CarDock FM Follow Me plugs into a car’s 12V cigarette lighter, taking power from the car and therefore charging up the iPod while it is docked into the iPod holder.

The new bit comes in the form of "Follow Me" GEAR4’s patented technology that adjusts both the FM transmitter and the car radio to a clearer frequency at the touch of a button.
