It seems an Amazon exec has spoken out to end the speculation rife in the blogosphere that the company are imminently to launch new models of their Kindle e-book reader.Craig Berman, Amazon’s chief spokesman, has spoken to New York Times writer Brad Stone that the rumours - supposedly from two different inside sources at the e-commerce company - are only that.
"Don’t believe everything you read", Berman said. "There’s a lot of rumor and speculation about the Kindle. One thing I can tell you for sure is that there will be no new version of the Kindle this year. A new version is possible sometime next year at the earliest."
