As we've previously reported, the multi million dollar hit Transformers has now gotten a Blu-ray release.

"I've been waiting for Transformers to be released on Blu-ray for a long time and it was worth the wait", said Bay.

"This is the complete high definition package for fans of the film - it looks stunning and really allows you to engage with this movie in new ways."

And, referring to his spat with Paramount over the studio's choice of next-gen disc formats, added: "Remember, I told everyone Blu-ray is the best".

The top-selling DVD of 2007, it will be a two-disc Blu-ray release and gets tons of interactive features and extras, including BD Live functions.
