Panasonic launch VS2 mobile phone

Panasonic hopes its 16 million colour screen will make the phone shine

Panasonic has gone for colour with the launch of its latest mobile phone - the VS2.

The new model will feature a 2.2 inch QVGA TFT display with 16 million colours. Not wanting you to miss any of those colours, Panasonic has made sure the display will stand out in the sun with a brightness level of 300 candela. Panasonic believe that this is so bright its up to 50 per cent brighter than many other handset on the market.

Aside from the screen, the VS2 has silver and copper coloured slender body and a 1.3 megapixel camera.

The phone also features a one-push auto-open function for quick
access to the phone's functions and is available immediately in the UK on Vodafone pay as you talk, through Tesco and Comet, costing around £99.

The VS2 will ship with the best seller Sonic the Hedgehog game.
