Canon has launched the new SX "Super Zoom" model, the 9-megapixel PowerShot SX110 IS, replacing the SX100 IS in the PowerShot line-up.With a 10x optical zoom with optical Image Stabiliser this is the equivalent focal length of 36-360mm on a 35mm film camera.
The SX110, powered by AA batteries, gets a 3.0-inch LCD and tons of Canon techery for claimed better pics such as Motion and Face Detection Technology and a new Easy Mode as one of 20 shooting modes in all.
Experienced users can switch to full manual control, and customise settings for special effects or unusual lighting and there is also a 30fps VGA video capture option.
