AT&T ConnecTech repair service launches Stateside

Squares up to Geek Squad

The Geek Squad will come a-knocking to sort out your tech tangles in both the UK and the US.

But now people living in all US states have an alternative to the Best Buy teams in the AT&T ConnecTec home computer and TV repair and installation service.

And you don't have to be an AT&T customer to call them out.

Services range from PC or home network phone support for $69, home computer/network installation for $99, and in-home support for $180 and up.

AT&T spokesperson Brad Mays told tech website Ars Technica that ConnecTech's advantage over other services is that AT&T is "a one-stop-shop".

He said: "Because we already understand and support the network side, we bring a new and better approach to end-to-end support and customer care".

And he also claims that, so far, there has not been a soul in need of tech help that the team hasn't got to.

"We have yet to have an experience where we couldn't reach someone or help someone", he claims. "This is a pretty broad initiative."
