Nintendo, maybe feeling the pressure of Sony's handheld console the PSP, has reduced the price of its own handheld console, the Nintendo DS by £10 to £89.99.

The new price won't come into affect until the 7 October and conincide with the launch of Nintendo Dogs in the UK.

Gamers keen to get their hands on the new game and console will be able to opt for two bundles retailing at £99.

The new Dachshund version of the game will be bundled with a pink Nintendo DS console. This comes with a cute line-up of Nintendogs characters such as Shih Tzu and Pugs.

But if Pink is not your thing, do not worry as there will be a Labrador version of the Nintendogs bundle complete with a blue Nintendo DS - with breeds such as Labrador Retriever and Pembroke Welsh Corgi to show off to your mates.
