Google launches Picasa in Europe

Google has released its photo management software package, Picasa, across six European countries today including the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and The Netherlands.

For those not in the know, Piscasa is the free photo management software application from Google that allows people to share their digital images, edit them and then order prints.

The application allows user to apply 12 photographic filter effects, colour and lighting adjustments, red-eye removal, photo cropping, zoom, and straightening.

Customised printing - Print at home in standard sizes and fit multiple photos on a page, or order prints and products by uploading photos.

In the UK, Google has teamed up with Photobox to offer the printing services.

More information about Picasa can be found at http://picasa.google.co.uk/. Currently the application is only available to PC users.
