Canon's got more leaks than a rusty watering can it seems.
In May, a listing for the high-end Canon EOS 5D Mark II appeared on Amazon.
Now, Canon's China website momentarily published the full specifications for the upcoming EOS 50D DSLR.
And here are some of the highlights, courtesy of Photography Bay, who got in there quick and copied them before the text was taken down.
The new model will be built around a 15.1-megapixel CMOS sensor (so a 1.6x crop), boasts a DIGIC 4 processor, and Auto Brightness Processing.
The viewfinder offers 95% coverage and .97 magnification.
Tech-wise - the camera packs in a 9-point AF system (All Cross Type) and has a 35 meter area equipped with high-precision sensors, as well as AF Fine Tuning.
You can also expect a Dust Reduction system, ISO range of 100-12,800 and shooting wise - the camera delivers 6.3fps in high speed mode and 3fps in low speed mode with a 16 RAW file and 60 JPG buffer or 10 RAW+JPG file buffer.
In terms of build, the 50D has a rugged magnesium alloy body, 920,000 points VGA 3.0-inch LCD monitor and a 100,000 cycle shutter.
The leaked specs also suggest that the 50D takes Type I or II CF cards, is UDMA compatible and fits Canon EF-series (including EF-S series lenses).
