Drum roll please. Pocket-lint is pleased to announce the launch of the first annual Pocket-Lint.co.uk Awards, The Fluffies, which will endeavour to reward companies for innovative, groovy and great products that have been launched in the last year.

The awards will be held on the 1 December 2005 and include any product that has been launched in the UK since the 1 December 2004. There will be ten categories including the Pocket-lint Readers Award where you will have your say.

But before we announce any winners, we have to choose the nominees first. This is where you come in. We need you to help us with the nominations. So let us know what the best gadget, gear or gizmo you've bought in the last year is, what category it falls in and why you think its great (you can email us from here).

Once we've got your suggestions we will then publish the nominations for the Pocket-lint.co.uk Awards on the 31 October 2005.

When the nominations have been announced we will then get the judges to sit down and vote for the best gadgets, gear and gizmos for 2005.

The categories to nominate your favourite gadget for are:

1. Best MP3 player
2. Best Mobile Phone
3. Best Digital Camera
4. Best PC or Console Game
5. Best Laptop
6. Best Home Entertainment Device
7. Best PDA or GPS Device
8. Best Lifestyle Gadget
9. Most Innovative Gadget of 2005
10. Best Overall Gadget or Gizmo 2005 (The Pocket-lint Readers Award 2005)
