The MX-20 is the latest in HD video tech from Samsung.This new launch will be available in black, white, red and blue from next month.
Key tools include direct upload of files to iPods and YouTube without the need to transcode files, which essentially means you can load up content online quicker and straight from the camcorder.
Samsung also claims that the MX-20 benefits from a new platform, which delivers "high video quality, longer recording times and low power consumption".
So, reflecting this, the camcorder's battery life is up to 3 hours.
Adds Samsung, the MX20 "is the first to apply H.264 CODEC to SD camcorders" - which it can record up to 4 hours of footage using an 8GB memory card, 8 hours using a 16GB memory card, and up to 16 hours using a 32GB card.
And the H.264 tech more than doubles the compression ratio so that it takes less time to send video files via email or upload them onto the Internet.
Also worth a mention is the camcorder's Schneider lens with 34x optical zoom and Hyper Digital Image Stabilisation, as well as face detection tech which can find up to five faces.
And you also get a 2.7-inch screen LCD and a memory card slot for SD/SDHC and MMC+ (up to 32GB) cards.
No mention of a price as yet though.
