New mobile outed before RIM gets a chance

Shrewd bit of marketing or a simple database slip-up, either way Expansys has spilled the beans on the new clamshell BlackBerry ahead of RIM in the UK.

Available for pre-order from today, the RIM BlackBerry 8210 Smartphone doesn't have a price or availability yet, but it does have a full rosta of spec details for us to get interested about.

The new clamshell, called the BlackBerry 8210 will come, according to the listing, with a twin LCD screen, one for the front and one for inside. Quad-band support rather than 3G and a 2-megapixel camera.

Other features of note include the BlackBerry OS 4.6, microSD and Bluetooth support.

A quick call to BlackBerry's press office however garnered no further information with the usual line:

"RIM doesn't comment on speculation or rumours" thrown back at us as we've become accustomed to in the last couple of months.

We will keep you posted.
