The Cell coming to a computer near you

Fox has bought its first ever online only TV show, and it's called The Cell.
Not to be confused with that modern masterpiece of the same name starring Jennifer Lopez pre-twins, this is a new series made by Endemol - the production company we have to thank for Big Brother.
The Cell will be launched across Fox's global network of websites in October and will comprise 20 2-minute shows.
Says Media Week: "The series tells the story of a man who finds himself locked in a lawless prison. It has previously been screened on O2's mobile network and www.crackle.com, Sony's online video service in the USA".
The Cell will be broadcast internationally from the independent website www.thecell.tv and there'll be a game to go with it.
And Fox is planning more online shows.
Pablo Silva, FIC's vice-president for global online publishing, said Fox is hoping to show up to four online-only shows a year.
A second may even air before the end of the year.
