It was only earlier this month that Lenovo unveiled the Eee-rivalling IdeaPad S10.

Now the company has launched, (at the Beijing Olympic Games no less), the IdeaPad U8.

According to online reports, this is an Asia-only launch for the mo, but here's the specs just in case it makes it to the Western World.

It has a 4.8-inch touchscreen; the latest, sub-3 watt processor from Intel and 6GB flash storage.

This model also offers support for China Multimedia Mobile Broadcasting (CMMB) digital television via the USB dongle; but you also get 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, EDGE data and China-specific TD-SCDMA 3G.

Size-wise, the U8 is 350g and 21 x 174 x 84mm.

If we hear any news on a European release, we'll let you know.
