Dell has launched three new Axim X51 handhelds feature Windows Mobile 5.0 software with persistent storage memory to help protect data, and Media Player 10 Mobile for entertainment on the go. Prices for Axim X51 models start at $299 in America.Powered by the Intel XScaleTM PXA270 Processor at 520MHz the unit will have a 3.5in colour TFT display and also have wireless b and Bluetooth connectivity built in as standard.
Packed with 64MB SDRAM and 128MB Flash ROM the x51 will also have an integrated CompactFlash Type II and Secure Digital / SDIO Now! / MMC card slots to provide flexible expansion
To go with the addition of Media Player 10 the unit receives a 3.5mm Headphone / Headset Jack for Headsets to support VoIP and voice recognition applications.
