Dell fights iPod Shuffle with DJ Ditty

Dell has released what it is hoping will be the iPod Shuffle killer - the DJ Ditty. The small USB based Music Player weighs 40 grams comes with 512Mb of memory and will hold up to 220 songs, 100 more than the Shuffle.

The player also features an LCD screen for managing playlists and an integrated FM tuner.

It will also support playback of audio books and portable music subscription services such as Yahoo! Musicmatch On Demand Portable and Napster to Go.

Dell is also promising 14 hours battery life compared to the Shuffle's 12.

The Dell DJ Ditty starts at $99 in America. We are awaiting confirmation as to whether the DJ Ditty will be coming to the UK.
