Chinese symbol representing each sport for each hour

To mark the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, designer QianJun Gao has created this red laquered clock, which has what looks like a traditional Chinese talisman at each hour on the face representing one of the 12 major Olympic sports.
Fine for during the games, but afterwards?
