Sony has announced that it will be offering 45 minutes of extended highlights from Sky Sports matches to watch on the go via the PSP for those keen to see the action on a small screen.

To nicely tie in with the start of the premiership season, footie fans opting to use the GO!VIEW service will be able to get access to all the games showing on Sky Sports; some 92 Live games a further 242 "near live" matches.

Aimed at those not bothered about seeing the action on their big flat screen TV, Sony has also said that they will be making highlights from what they deem the season’s best games from October so fans can relive their favourite moments on the bus to work, or if your team's doing badly, actually at the game.

The football content on GO!VIEW is available as part of the monthly "Sports" subscription packs that offers content from across the sporting world, and includes cricket, golf, boxing and extreme sports.

According to Sony, who are hoping the service will change the Apple's iPod, new GO!VIEW customers can get a one month trial subscription to the Sports Pack as well as the two other Subscription Packs; Comedy and Entertainment for free.

Subscription packs are priced at £5 for 1 pack, £8 for 2 packs and £10.
