Toshiba update Gigabeat with X30

MP3 player gets slimming diet for the winter

Toshiba has announced In Japan the latest version of its Gigabeat MP3 player. The x30 will feature a larger screen with a 2.4in LCD even though it has reduced the overall size by 20 percent to 59.3 mm× height 14.5 mm× depth 99.3mm compared to the Gigabeat F-Series players.

Toshiba is supporting Windows Media DRM 10 as well as all the usual audio formats, including MP3, WAV and WMV.

The company apparently also made some improvements to the photo viewer software. The X30 has a 30GB hard-drive and comes in three colors.

The Toshiba Gigabeat X30 will start shipping on September 22nd in Japan. However no date has been set for the UK.
