Orange is the latest operator to start offering laptop computers as it tries to capitalise on its mobile broadband offering.

Rather than follow Carphone Warehouse with the Webbook, it has turned to Asus and the popular Eee PC to kick of its new "connected" range.

Available from Saturday, customers will be able to purchase a package consisting of Orange’s "Internet Everywhere" mobile broadband service, a dongle and an Asus Eee PC 900 16G laptop for £25 a month.

Users who sign up will get a plug-in option icon 225 modem and a UK data allowance of just 3GB a month.

Francois Mahieu, Director of Devices for Orange UK has also hinted this will be the first of many: "This launch is just the start, over time we will be expanding our offering even further with more suppliers who are at the forefront of laptop technology".

The catch? You'll have to sign up for 24 months to benefit.
