Fujifilm has added a seventh new model in a bumper day of launches.
The new FinePix F60fd succeeds the FinePix F50fd, but boasts a larger 3.0 inch LCD screen, Face Detection 3.0 and brand new, proprietary, Scene Recognition technology.
The F60fd is built around a 12 megapixel Super CCD sensor, but also boasts Dual Image Stabilisation (CCD-shift with high ISO), ISO sensitivity of 1600 (6400 at 3 MP), and a Fujinon 3x zoom (35-105mm equivalent).
For users who like to have creative control over their compact and who want more than point-and-shoot photography, the FinePix F60fd has the option of full photographic control.
But there are also a whole range of auto options including the new Scene Recognition technology which detects a scene without the need of pre-selecting the mode on the camera.
The camera also offers Real Photo Technology - the combination of the unique Super CCD sensor, RP Processor and Fujinon Lens - will work together to deliver natural skin tones for portraits, clear pictures with less noise for night scenes, pictures in detail for landscape and crisp pictures for macro.
Also worth a mention is the Face Detection 3.0 tool, which can detect up to 10 faces in a scene in 0.036 seconds.
The FinePix F60fd will be available from September and pricing will be announced nearer to the date of the launch.
