We've already detailed the specs of what Samsung is claiming will be the first 8 megapixel cameraphone to launch in the UK market - the i8510.

But now The Carphone Warehouse has confirmed that it is going to stock the model and it will arrive in the UK next month.

There's no pricing information but what you will get for your money will include a whole host of multimedia capabilities from smile shot, multi shot and face recognition for the camera to Movie Maker and Story Board applications.

The handset also acts as a digital photo frame, allowing users to display their favourite images on the phone's 2.8 inch 16M colour LCD.

And you also get 8GB of internal memory and an external memory slot capable of holding up to an additional 16GB.

And there's more. For enthusiastic gamers, the i8510 comes pre-embedded with Asphalt 4 3D and FIFA 08.

You also get both HSDPA high speed Internet and Wi-Fi connectivity, A-GPS technology, and it also comes with the Symbian OS V9.3, S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 2.

Sound good? Well then, make sure you get to a Carphone Warehouse next month!
