Fujifilm has now made an official announcement of six new cameras, that showed up on its Canadian website almost two weeks ago.The DSLR S2000HD, and five new J series compact models - J150w, J110w, J100, J15, and J12 - have been "introduced" on the digital camera global homepage, with links to their specs in detail.
All seem to be the same as previously reported, with the S2000HD leading the charge with a 10 megapixel sensor, 15x wide angle zoom and 2.7-inch screen.
There are several nice features such as super macro mode to get in as close as 1cm from the subject, face detection of up to 10 faces and instant zoom which follows a moving subject in wide view, allowing an additional 1.4x or 2x digital zoom impact with a single press of a button.
As the name would suggest, it both takes photos and movies in HD, capturing them in high resolution 16:9 format, and has a 13.5fps burst mode at 3mp as well as image stabilisation.
As for the five J-series models, they are all much of a muchness, looking pretty similar in design as they do in spec. Seemingly a new entry-level range, you've firstly got the J150w leading the way with a 10 megapixel sensor, 5x optical zoom and 3-inch LCD, followed by the J110w and J100 which are also 10 megapixels.
The J15 and J12 bring up the rear with 3x optical zoom and 8.2 and 8.1 megapixels respectively.
There's still nothing on the website with regards to release dates and while there were price details on the Canadian website where they first appeared, there is nothing on the global one.
As soon as we hear anything, we'll let you know - in the meantime you can check them all out on the website. Cameras, DSLR cameras, Compact cameras, Fujifilm, 10 megapixels, 8 megapixels
