SunTable powers your gadgets in the garden
Promises four hours of free juice
8 August 2008 13:04 GMT / By Stuart Miles
It might be raining in the UK at the moment, but if you're up for a spot of working in the garden, then the SunTable might be one way of ensuring you don't run out of power.
The SunTable, covered in solar panels, is an outdoor coffee table and power station in one. It comes with a teak frame and the promise to charge a laptop for 4 hours.
There is a voltage meter that displays the voltage of the battery, and the hour meter displays the total hours the table has been on. Its electrical output is 12 volts DC, like a car. With the included inverter, you have a regular wall outlet.
The SunTable was created by Devang A. Shah and Mike Low of Brooklyn, New York.
"Anything that pushes people to spend more time outdoors is beneficial for humanity," says Devang.
