Nikon has announced a new successor to the P5000 on Thursday in the guise of the P6000.

The new model will be the first from Nikon to feature GPS built-in so users can Geotag photographs wherever they are in the world.

Further more the 13.5 megapixel snapper that features a 4x optical zoom will also come with an Ethernet socket so photographers will be able to connect the camera to the internet and upload images directly to Nikon's online picture gallery service.

Available in September for around £429, Pocket-lint was able to get there hands on the new camera at a preview showing in London ahead of the official launch.
