Believe us when we say that the £600 "I Am Rich" application for the iPhone and iPod touch will tell folk that not only is your wallet full of cash, but you're full of something too.

The application itself is, in the developer's words "a work of art with no hidden function at all" that simply displays a red virtual gem on the screen of the device.

The app's description reads: "The red icon on your iPhone or iPod touch always reminds you (and others when you show it to them) that you were rich enough to afford this".
