Sharp expands SB series LCD televisions

Sharp has expanded its large screen SB series of LCD HDTVs.

The SB series (LC-52SB55U, LC-46SB54U and LC-42SB45U) claims to provide consumers with affordably-priced Full HD, big-screen options, available in 52- 46-, and 42-inch screen sizes.

All three feature Full HD 1080p (1920 x 1080 resolution), and are cased in a glossy piano-black bezel.

The models feature Sharp's Spectral Contrast Engine for what's said to be deep blacks and crisp images.

All three models also feature a pixel response time of 6ms (6.5ms on the LC-42SB45U), and gets four HDMI inputs on the LC-52SB55U, two on the LC-46SB54U and three on the LC-42SB45U.

A US launch, these sets come equipped with built-in ATSC/QAM/NTSC tuners.

The LC-52SB55U is available now for $2,299.99, the LC-46SB54U is $1699.99 and the LC-42SB45U will be available in September for $1399.99.
