With the Olympics set to start in days, Sky+ HD customers can look forward to over 500 hours of apparently unrivalled high definition coverage from BBC HD and Eurosport HD.
Sky says that Sky+ HD customers will get the widest choice of HD coverage from: all of BBC One and BBC Two’s output via BBC HD, which is nearly 300 hours; and over 230 hours from Eurosport HD, which will be broadcasting from the Games 24/7.
This means, for the first time, UK viewers will be able to see the Olympics in HD with "gloriously detailed coverage of sports".
"If you can’t make it to Beijing, Sky+ HD is your next best bet for experiencing the Olympics this year with coverage from both BBC HD and Eurosport HD", says Hilary Perchard, Sky’s head of HD.
"In addition, given the time difference and the fact most of us will be asleep or at work, with Sky+ HD you can record your favourite sports to watch later."
