The Telegraph is hoping to take advantage of the increasing number of mobile phone users who are accessing the Internet on the move.

The Telegraph Media Group has now redesigned its mobile platform so that mobile phone users can get easy access to the paper.

The new platform will be available on all major mobile phones, and its launch follows the redesign of The Telegraph's website last month.

The service offers news, sport and travel and the newspaper adds that it will be updated throughout the day.

Paul Cheesbrough, chief information officer of Telegraph Media Group said: "The launch of our mobile offering demonstrates TMG's continued commitment to becoming a truly multimedia, multi-platform news service".

"Building on the success of the recent redesign of Telegraph.co.uk, this latest development reflects TMG's dedication to bringing up-to-the-minute content to the consumer, whenever and wherever they demand it."
