4GB iPod shuffle incoming?

New colours and price cuts rumoured too

It's that time of year when speculation about what autumn's Apple product refreshes - in time for the lucrative Christmas period - may bring, reaches fever pitch.

Not left out of the rumour mill this time round is Apple's littlest iPod, the diminutive shuffle, that whispers suggest is getting a revamp.

"Industry watchers" believe a new 4GB shuffle will be added to the mix (it's currently offered in 1GB and 2GB versions) and that new colours will be added to the range.

In addition, it's thought Apple may reduce prices again for the models, thought to be "crucial for the company to maintain its revenue growth in this segment".
