We know that Lenovo can do super-skinny ultra-portables - the ThinkPad X300 is proof of that - but the Chinese manufacturer is reportedly planning to enter the netbook market by the end of September this year, according to manufacturing sources.DigiTimes reports that Compal Electronics, Wistron and Pegatron Technology are all possible candidates to manufacture the said to be coming soon netbook for Lenovo.
Compal apparently currently makes mainstream notebooks for Lenovo, while Wistron manufacturers the Lenovo X-series ultra-portables and Pegatron makes IdeaPads.
This debut into the competitive netbook market has been confirmed by Ken Wong, general manager of Lenovo Taiwan that DigiTimes says "confirmed that the company is considering launching a netbook product designed with consideration for both consumer and enterprise markets".
