The DMX-HD800 is the new 720p HD camcorder offering from Sanyo.

Available in gold, pink or black, this 8-megapixel model includes Sanyos's "Face Chaser module" - which is a face detection tool.

It also boasts an improved interface as compared to previous models so that it is easier for owners to download their video from the camera to a PC.

Capture-wise - this model can take both stills and videos - Video is 1280 x 720 or 720p whilst stills are snapped at 8 megapixels.

Sanyo adds that you can preview the frame for photos while still recording video with the one-push "Photo View" button.

Data is saved onto SD/SDHC memory cards.

No price as yet but we'll keep you posted.
