Belkin has launched a new USB hub that is designed to fit in with Apple's Mac Mini. The unit has been designed in-house by the Belkin Industrial Design Group in Hollywood, CA.F5U264uk is a Hi-Speed USB 2.0, 4-port hub, providing a low profile space saving platform for stacking your Mac Mini. The hub features 480-Mbps downstream USB ports compatible with both USB 1.1 & USB 2.0.
Two of the four ports are front loading for easy accessibility when using temporary devices such as thumb-drives or iPod shuffle.
The hub ships with a power adapter for use when all ports are needed but can connect up to 2 devices without the use of the power adapter.
Belkin keen to appeal to Mac users has also created a USB 2.0 4-Port Hub that fits in with the iPod shuffle.
With four downstream USB ports that are compatible with both USB 1.1 and Hi-Speed USB 2.0, it provides easy access for thumb drives, media readers or other accessories. Its top-loading port is ideal for quick, temporary connection, for instance with the Apple iPod Shuffle or other MP3 players.
