Anybody who's ever tried to learn the Periodic Table of Elements will no doubt shudder at the memory. The organisation of life's building blocks into a seemingly impenetrable order based on weight, atomic number, favourite colour and star sign (or something) has baffled generations of children and adults alike.

This handy video guide to each of the elements' properties and typical reactions may seem a bit dull to the layman, but it does contain some pretty spectacular displays and is a very useful tool for all science students and pub bores.
